On January 17th, 2023 Ms. Ravipa Chongveruwon, DIT Deputy Director and her team from the Department for International Trade (DIT), British Embassy Bangkok, visited PSU Phuket at Meeting Room 2, 2nd floor of the President’s Office Building, (Bldg.7). The honorable delegates were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU Phuket Campus; Dr. Tagsina Sripracha, Assistant President for International Affairs, Phuket Campus; faculty representatives, and IAC staff. A representative from each faculty gave a presentation about the programs offered and the potential areas of cooperation. Aj. Colin Gallagher, Assistant to the Dean for International Affairs and Student Development, for the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism; Dr. Woralak Bancha, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and International Affairs, for the Faculty of International Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aree Choodum, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, for the Faculty of Technology and Environment; and Dr. Wasimon Panichpattanakul, Assistant Dean for Student Admission and International Activities, for the College of Computing. The main purpose of this visit was to identify the potential areas for collaboration in education, including education technology, between PSU Phuket and UK universities liaised by the British Embassy Bangkok. The opportunities discussed were summer programs, students and staff exchange programs, funding/scholarships, and joint academic and research programs. The meeting was concluded with a gift-exchange and commemorative photo-taking.
