มหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เปิดสำนักงานประจำประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ภายใต้ความร่วมมือกับมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนด้านงบประมาณจากมหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะ และการสนับสนุนพื้นที่จากมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต สำนักงานแห่งนี้เกิดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นศูนย์กลางประสานงานด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย และการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างสองประเทศ
สนับสนุนการศึกษาและการแลกเปลี่ยนระยะสั้น
สำนักงานมหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะมุ่งเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนและนักศึกษาไทยเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในประเทศญี่ปุ่นแบบระยะสั้น 10–15 วัน พร้อมประสานงานกับสถาบันการศึกษาในญี่ปุ่น เพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้เยี่ยมชมมหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะและสัมผัสประสบการณ์จริง เหมาะสำหรับผู้ที่สนใจศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาตรีหรือโท รวมถึงเตรียมความพร้อมด้านภาษา วัฒนธรรม และทักษะที่จำเป็น
ทั้งสองมหาวิทยาลัยตั้งใจผลักดันให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ด้านการศึกษาและวัฒนธรรมระหว่างไทยและญี่ปุ่น ต่อยอดไปสู่ความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของไทยและจังหวัดเฮียวโกะของญี่ปุ่น สำนักงานยังทำหน้าที่เป็นศูนย์ประสานงานสำหรับผู้ที่สนใจลงทุนหรือร่วมดำเนินโครงการต่างประเทศ และพร้อมขยายเครือข่ายสู่สถาบันอื่นในอนาคต
เตรียมความพร้อมสู่โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนระยะยาว
นักศึกษาไทยจะมีโอกาสเข้าร่วมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนกับมหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะ โดยสามารถเทียบโอนหน่วยกิตได้ ระยะเวลาโครงการประมาณหนึ่งภาคการศึกษา หรือมากกว่านั้น โครงการถูกออกแบบเพื่อพัฒนาความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ทักษะสำคัญ และประสบการณ์ชีวิตที่จะนำกลับมาสร้างประโยชน์ให้สังคมไทยในอนาคต
ขยายความร่วมมือทางวิจัยและวิชาการ
สำนักงานยังสนับสนุนการทำงานวิจัยร่วมระหว่างอาจารย์ นักวิจัย และบุคลากรจากทั้งสองประเทศ รวมถึงการพัฒนา Visiting Professor Program สำหรับอาจารย์ไทยที่ต้องการทำวิจัยที่มหาวิทยาลัยเฮียวโกะ เพื่อผลักดันผลงานวิชาการและสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระยะยาว นอกจากนี้ยังเปิดโอกาสให้เจ้าหน้าที่มหาวิทยาลัยและบุคลากรภายนอกที่สนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมหรือโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนในญี่ปุ่นได้เช่นกัน

Strengthening Educational Opportunities and Thailand–Japan Collaboration
Hyogo University of Japan has officially launched its Thailand Representative Office through a partnership with Prince of Songkla University. The office is funded by Hyogo University and supported with facilities provided by Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus. It will serve as a central hub for academic coordination, research collaboration, and the development of educational partnerships between the two countries.
Promoting Short Term Educational and Cultural Exchange
The Hyogo University Office aims to expand opportunities for Thai students to participate in short term activities in Japan, ranging from 10 to 15 days. The office will coordinate with Japanese educational institutions to facilitate campus visits at Hyogo University and provide real world experiences. These programs are ideal for students interested in pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies, and they help participants prepare in terms of language, culture, and essential skills.
Both universities are committed to advancing academic and cultural exchange between Thailand and Japan, paving the way for broader economic and social cooperation between Southern Thailand and Hyogo Prefecture. The office also serves as a coordination center for individuals interested in investment or international project collaboration and plans to expand partnerships with additional institutions in the future.
Preparing for Long Term Exchange Programs
Thai students will have the opportunity to join long term exchange programs at Hyogo University, with the ability to transfer academic credits. These programs typically run for one semester or longer and are designed to strengthen creativity, critical skills, and life experience that students can apply to benefit Thai society in the future.
Expanding Research and Academic Collaboration
The office will also support joint research projects involving faculty members, researchers, and staff from both countries.
