มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ เปิดตัว ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล สงขลานครินทร์ ภูเก็ต (Songklanagarind Digital Dental Center Phuket: SDDC Phuket) อย่างเป็นทางการ ณ บริเวณสะพานหิน จังหวัดภูเก็ต ในวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2568 ตอกย้ำบทบาทการเป็นศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้ การวิจัยและการรักษาทางทันตกรรมดิจิทัลครบวงจรของภูมิภาคอันดามันพร้อมขับเคลื่อนมาตรฐานการศึกษา การพัฒนาบุคลากร และการบริการสุขภาพช่องปากสู่ระดับสากล
ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ม.อ.ภูเก็ต ก่อตั้งขึ้นเพื่อเป็นฐานพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์ด้านทันตกรรมยุคใหม่ โดยคณาจารย์ทันตแพทย์จากคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ที่เป็นกำลังสำคัญในการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และทักษะเชิงปฏิบัติที่ทันสมัย ครอบคลุมทุกสาขา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทันตกรรมทั่วไป ทันตกรรมจัดฟัน ทันตกรรมประดิษฐ์ ศัลยศาสตร์ช่องปากและแม็กซิลโลเฟเชียล ทันตกรรมรากเทียม ไปจนถึงการดูแลความผิดปกติของข้อต่อขากรรไกรและระบบบดเคี้ยว(TMJ Disorder)
                 ด้วยการลงทุนเครื่องมือทันตกรรมดิจิทัลที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีขั้นสูงจำนวนมาก ทำให้ ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ม.อ.ภูเก็ต เป็นศูนย์กลางการจัดการเรียนการสอน การดูแลรักษา ฟื้นฟูสุขภาพช่องปากร่วมกับการส่งเสริมป้องกันโรคที่ทันสมัยที่สุดและได้มาตรฐานระดับสากล ผู้รับบริการสามารถเข้ารับการบริการการรักษาขั้นสูง มีคุณภาพ คาดหวังผลได้ในราคาที่จับต้องได้ ตอบสนองความต้องการปัจจุบันที่คนมีอายุยืนยาวขึ้น ฟันและสุขภาพช่องปากที่ดีจึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตโดยรวม ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ม.อ.ภูเก็ต ไม่เพียงมีเป้าหมายในการผลิตและพัฒนาทันตแพทย์รุ่นใหม่ที่มีทั้งความเชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล แต่ยังตั้งเป้าหมายในการยกระดับคุณภาพบริการทันตกรรมของประเทศโดยรวม เพื่อรองรับการให้บริการนักท่องเที่ยวทั่วโลกที่เดินทางมาจังหวัดภูเก็ต

                  ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ม.อ.ภูเก็ต ก่อตั้งขึ้นด้วยวิสัยทัศน์ “ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศทางทันตกรรมระดับสากล เพื่อสุขภาพที่ดีและยั่งยืน” โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นทั้งศูนย์กลางการรักษาด้วยเทคโนโลยีทันสมัยและฐานการพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์ด้านทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ด้วยการบูรณาการการเรียนการสอน การวิจัย และการบริการประชาชนอย่างครบวงจรด้านการรักษา ศูนย์ฯ นำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลขั้นสูงมาใช้ เช่น
• การสแกนช่องปาก 3 มิติ ที่ลดความยุ่งยากจากการพิมพ์ปากแบบดั้งเดิม
• การวางแผนการผ่าตัดรากฟันเทียมด้วยซอฟต์แวร์คอมพิวเตอร์ และการใช้ภาพเอกซเรย์ 3 มิติ เพื่อเพิ่มความแม่นยำ
• ระบบ CAD/CAM และเครื่องพิมพ์ 3 มิติ ที่สามารถออกแบบและผลิตชิ้นงานทันตกรรมได้ภายในศูนย์ ทำให้ผู้ป่วยบางรายสามารถรับการรักษาเสร็จสิ้นภายในวันเดียว
                 ที่สำคัญ ศูนย์ฯ ยังเป็นแห่งแรกของประเทศที่รองรับผู้ป่วยสูงอายุและผู้พิการที่ใช้วีลแชร์ด้วยเก้าอี้ทำฟันระบบ Wheelchair Base ที่ผู้ป่วยสามารถเข้ารับบริการโดยไม่ต้องย้ายตัวเองออกจากรถเข็น อีกทั้งยังมีห้องรักษาความดันลบ (Negative Pressure Room) สำหรับผู้ป่วยโรคติดเชื้อทางเดินหายใจ เช่น โควิด-19 และวัณโรค เพื่อป้องกันการแพร่กระจายของเชื้อโรค

ศูนย์ทันตกรรมดิจิทัล ม.อ.ภูเก็ต เปิดบริการประชาชนทุกวัน เวลา 09.00–20.00 น. รองรับทั้งการนัดหมายล่วงหน้าผ่านโทรศัพท์ เฟซบุ๊กเพจ อีเมล รวมถึง Walk-in และในช่วงเปิดตัวยังมีโปรโมชั่นพิเศษลดค่าบริการ 15% ตลอดปี 2568

            Prince of Songkla University Launches “Digital Dental Center, PSU Phuket”
            A Hub for Modern Dental Education, Research, and Treatment in the Andaman Region
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) officially inaugurated the Songklanagarind Digital Dental Center Phuket (SDDC Phuket) on September 1, 2025, at Saphan Hin, Phuket. The launch reaffirms PSU’s role as a comprehensive hub for digital dental education, research, and treatment in the Andaman region, while driving international standards in education, workforce development, and oral healthcare services.
The PSU Digital Dental Center Phuket was established to serve as a foundation for developing human capital in modern dentistry. Led by faculty members from the Faculty of Dentistry, PSU, the center provides advanced knowledge transfer and practical skills across multiple fields, including general dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, implant dentistry, and the management of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ).
Equipped with state-of-the-art digital dental technologies, the center integrates teaching, treatment, oral health rehabilitation, and preventive care at international standards. Patients can access advanced, high-quality, and predictable treatments at affordable prices, addressing the needs of a population with increasing longevity, where oral health plays a vital role in enhancing overall quality of life. Beyond producing a new generation of dentists proficient in digital technologies, the center also aims to elevate Thailand’s dental service standards to meet the demands of international visitors in Phuket.

Founded with the vision “A Global Center of Dental Excellence for Sustainable Health and Well-being,” the center integrates modern clinical services with human capital development in digital dentistry. Its mission combines teaching, research, and community service into a holistic platform.
In terms of treatment, the center applies cutting-edge digital technologies, such as:
3D intraoral scanning, reducing the discomfort of traditional impressions.
Computer-guided implant surgery with 3D imaging for greater precision.
CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing, enabling in-house design and production of dental prostheses, with some treatments completed in a single day.
Importantly, the center is the first in Thailand to provide services for elderly and wheelchair-bound patients using Wheelchair-Base Dental Chairs, allowing treatment without transferring from the wheelchair. It also features a Negative Pressure Room for patients with infectious respiratory diseases, such as COVID-19 and tuberculosis, ensuring the prevention of cross-infection.
