ASTRA is to support the operation of Higher Education Institutions in Laos and Thailand, by increasing their staff’s capacity for accessing financial resources through the exploitation of relevant donour-funded Research and Development Programmes in the areas of ICT and Social Sciences

In a 3-year framework, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT) plays a crucial role as a representative of Prince of Songkla University (PSU) to execute the project with 8 institutions from 5 different countries in Europe and Asia. Four new R&D centers will be set up in the four partner institutions (2 in Laos and 2 in Thailand). Furthermore, their operation will be managed from the 60 academic staff from both countries that are going to be trained during the capacity building programme together with more than 500 academic & professional staff directly reached through dissemination & exploitation activities
