เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2566 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พงค์เทพ สุธีรวุฒิ รองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตตรัง พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร อาจารย์และบุคลากรมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตตรัง ร่วมต้อนรับผู้อำนวยการและคณะจากสำนักงานฝ่ายโปรแกรมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษประจำภูมิภาค (Regional English Language Office: RELO) สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษให้บุคลากรและนักศึกษาในวิทยาเขตตรัง รวมถึงโอกาสในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในจังหวัดภูมิภาคอันดามัน

นอกจากนี้ คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการจัดการและคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ ยังเสนอโครงการและกิจกรรมที่สามารถทำร่วมกับ RELO ได้ เช่น การจัดค่ายสถาปัตยกรรมที่จะเปิดให้นักศึกษาต่างชาติโดยเฉพาะจากสหรัฐอเมริกา ร่วมศึกษาเรียนรู้ภูมิสถาปัตย์แบบ Tropical Architecture และการสอนภาษาและวัฒนธรรมไทย เป็นต้น

PSU, Trang Campus joins the discussion with the Regional English Language Office, the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok

On April 24, 2023, the Vice President of Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus, Assistant Professor Dr. Pongthep Suteerawut, along with administrators, teachers, and staff jointly welcomed the Director and cultural affairs specialists of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok to discuss collaboration in developing English language skills for teachers, students, and staff of PSU, Trang Campus as well as the opportunity for the campus to be the center for training English teachers in Andaman provinces.

In addition, the Faculty of Commerce and Management and the Faculty of Architecture proposed projects and activities that can be implemented in conjunction with RELO, such as an architecture camp for international students, including ones from the United States, to explore tropical architecture and a Thai language and culture course.
