On October 4th – 5th, 2019 PSU Phuket in coordination with PSU Hatyai hosted “The Three-University (KKU, PSU and CMU) event” with the aims of exchanging knowledge & culture, and discussing various topics among the three universities. The momentous event on October 4 was opened by Asst. Prof. Niwat Keawpradub, Ph.D., President of Prince of Songkla University; followed by a special talk on “University administration under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation” by Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation; then followed by an MOU signing ceremony of the three universities and concluded by a brief introduction given by each university’s President. Approximately 500 participants attended this special occasion including presidents, vice presidents, deans and representatives from Khon Kaen University (KKU), Chiang Mai University (CMU), Prince of Songkla University (PSU). The event took place at Duang Chit Resort & Spa, Patong, Phuket from 01:30 pm. – 04:30 pm. The day ended with a lavish dinner reception and fun entertainment. On October 5th, there were group discussions and presentation in various topics, such as: life long learning, research, academic services, administration management on digital university and smart office, art and culture preservation, student development and university startup ecosystem. The day ended with a special closing performance, singing and closing ceremony. The next hosting university for next year would be Khon Kaen University.
