On April 6th, 2022 H.E. Mr. Remco van Wijngaarden, the Netherlands Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Seven Smulders, the Netherlands Honorary Consul for Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi and Suratthani, visited PSU Phuket and the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT). The distinguished delegates were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Prathana Kannaovakun, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, Phuket Campus; Asst. Prof. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism; Asst. Prof. Chayanon Phucharoen, Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism; and representatives from IAC. During the visit, Asst. Prof. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Ph.D. delivered a brief presentation about the campus and the faculty, followed by a comprehensive research-based presentation on the economic impacts of COVID-19 in Phuket and Phuket tourism during pandemic presented by Asst. Prof. Chayanon Phucharoen, Ph.D. The delegates were impressed by the enlightening findings from the research and thanked PSU Phuket for our hospitality. And the day was concluded by a gift exchange and commemorative photo-taking.
