PSU Showcases Commitment to International Education at 7th Thailand Education Fair in Yangon

On April 7, 2024, PSU made its mark at the 7th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar) held in Yangon. Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs, the PSU delegation actively participated in the event aimed at fostering educational ties between Thailand and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The fair, hosted at Sedona Hotel Yangon, was organized by the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand (AMAUT) and received strong support from the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon. Featuring 32 esteemed educational institutions from Thailand, the event attracted over 3,500 attendees eager to explore academic opportunities.

PSU's presence drew significant attention, with more than 800 Burmese students and visitors engaging with the university's booth. Attendees seized the opportunity to learn about PSU's diverse range of programs, available scholarships, and application procedures.

A notable highlight of PSU's involvement was its proactive approach to welcoming potential international students through the PSU Graduate Studies Scholarships and Admission program. This initiative garnered interest from the Department of International Cooperation at the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), resulting in TICA's support for PSU's participation in the event. Furthermore, AMAUT pledged to assist in promoting the PSU Graduate Studies Scholarships and Admission program, amplifying its reach within Myanmar. Currently accepting applications, the project is set to conduct interviews with Burmese applicants via online platforms facilitated by the university's program committee.

Prospective students who meet the criteria stand to benefit from the PSU Graduate Studies Scholarship, further enhancing the accessibility of quality education for international learners.

PSU's active engagement in the 7th Thailand Education Fair underscores its commitment to fostering global educational exchange and providing opportunities for aspiring scholars from Myanmar and beyond.
