Abbreviation of “Prince of Songkla”, HRH Prince Mahidol Adulyadej’s title

Songkhla Nakarin

Royal family title that the Royal Father (HM King Chulalongkorn, Rama V) graciously endowed to HRH Prince Mahidol Adulyadej as “His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol Adulyadej Kromkhun Songkhla Nakarin” in honor of Songkhla, and as the lord of Songkhla in 1903. On 9 June 1970, HM King Rama IX issued a royal decree, graciously honoring the name of His Majesty the Royal Father as "Somdej Mahitalathibet Adulyadej Vikrom Praboromarajchanok ", according to the Royal Gazette announcement of the royal titles of His Majesty the Royal Father and Her Majesty the Royal Mother, special edition, page 1, volume 87, chapter 52, dated 12 June 1970.
