PSU attends "Thai Trade Exhibition Saudi Arabia 2023"




    A PSU delegation, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wongkot Phuphumirat, Assistant President for International Affairs, and consisting of the university's administrators and staff from the Halal Institute and Science Park, participated in the exhibition "Thai Trade Exhibition Saudi Arabia 2023". The event, showcasing consumer products, health and beauty products, medical and hospital services, spa services, and tourism services from Thailand, was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 27 to 30 August 2023.

     PSU exhibited products and research innovations developed with the support of PSU Science Park. Exhibitors also introduced the PSU Halal Institute, promoted non-degree certificate programs in Halal System Management, alongside a Halal spa. Additionally, a Health Check-up and Tourism package that was created by the Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism was also showcased. The exhibition received a positive response from the people of Saudi Arabia, tourists from neighboring countries, as well as students and parents who inquired about further education opportunities at PSU’s various faculties, such as the Faculties of Management Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Agro-Industry.






From 27 August to 3 September 2023, university representatives also had the opportunity to explore possible venues of future collaboration with key decision makers in the region, including the Ambassador of Thailand to Saudi Arabia; the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance of Saudi Arabia; and the Director of Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance of Saudi Arabia. The PSU delegation also met the Former General Secretary of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia.

        Additionally, the delegates engaged in discussions with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), the GCC Accreditation Center, the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO), and the Halal Global Training Center. They also paid courtesy calls to Mr. Kitinai Nutakul, the Consul General in Jeddah, and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
