PSU visits Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh to strengthen relationships with Cambodian alumni, build networks, develop educational potential

A PSU delegation, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 22 August 2023. The delegation, comprised of members of the administrative team and representatives from the PSU Alumni Association, was warmly welcomed by Ms. Ek-on Khunacharoen, Chargé d'affaires.

Talks during the visitation focused on providing Cambodian students access to education opportunities through various courses at Prince of Songkla University until they are ready to return to develop Cambodia and their region. The Royal Thai Embassy expressed its intent to contribute, coordinate, and foster activities of that nature.

On the evening of that day, PSU organized an alumni relations networking event for Cambodian students who graduated under the Royal Assistance Project for the Kingdom of Cambodia and other projects. The event also served as a venue of discussion about organizing future alumni relations activities.

In addition, PSU held a Mini Roadshow activity at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) to publicize various university programs, including several fields of mutual interest, such as data science and foreign languages.
