Architecture students from PSU Trang Campus won three awards at TOY Arch 2023
Students from the Faculty of Architecture, PSU Trang Campus, have won three awards in the category “Outstanding Architectural Thesis Competition for the year 2023” under the THESIS OF THE YEAR AWARD 2023 (TOY Arch 2023) program, organized by the Council of Deans of Architecture in Thailand together with the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage. This competition aims to encourage students to create outstanding thesis work, and serves as a platform for students from various institutions to showcase their work to the public. Competition results were announced on the TOY ARCH Thailand Facebook fan page @TOYARCHTHAILAND on 6 August 2023.
Asst. Prof. Orakanya Nguansonsakul, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, along with Dr. Visuth Nuchnbee and faculty members of PSU’s Trang Campus supported and encouraged fifth-year architecture students to submit their thesis work to The TOY Arch 2023. The awards received are the following:
Mr. Aekarit Meahchi won 1st prize in the main architecture category. He received a trophy and 20,000 baht cash for his work "PATTANI CIVIC SPACE, PATTANI - A Self-Identity Showcase Space in Pattani Province."
Miss Nadia Che-ubun won the 3rd prize and received a certificate for her work titled "THE RECYCLING INNOVATION HUB".
Every year students from the Faculty of Architecture at PSU Trang Campus participate in this competition. Faculty members encourage and provide guidance to foster creativity and develop unique identities for practical knowledge application in the future.
