PSU Strengthens Corporate Communication with Training on Conflict Management Communication Techniques
Prince of Songkla University (PSU), through the Corporate Communication Division of the Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center (GACC), organized a training program on “Communication Techniques for Conflict Management” on 4 September 2026 at PSU Hat Yai Campus, with online participation available for communication personnel across all five PSU campuses.
The program aimed to strengthen essential skills in effective
communication, active listening, negotiation, and conflict management,
particularly when dealing with sensitive situations, differing opinions,
and diverse groups of stakeholders.
Assistant Professor Dr. Teerasak Jindabot, Director of GACC, highlighted
the importance of equipping corporate communication personnel with
practical skills that can be applied to real workplace situations. The
training is expected to help reduce misunderstandings, strengthen
cooperation, and enhance the effectiveness of PSU’s corporate
communication.
The session was led by Sarawut Burapaphat, Strategic Communication
Advisor, who shared knowledge and experience under the concept of
“Building Relationships and Resolving Conflict.” Participants learned
how to identify situations that may lead to conflict and how
communication can be used constructively to build common understanding.
The training covered conflict behavior assessment, communication gap analysis, persuasion, negotiation, and third-party intervention techniques, combining lectures with practical exercises to help participants apply these approaches in real working environments.
Beyond professional skill development, the program also strengthened the communication network across PSU’s five campuses, providing a platform for personnel to exchange experiences, perspectives, and approaches to handling different communication challenges.
Through the initiative, PSU aims to further develop a professional, effective, and collaborative corporate communication network that can strengthen stakeholder engagement while supporting the University’s reputation and public trust.
