The 352nd Site Visit in the AUN-QA INTERNATIONAL LEVEL Programme Assessment at PSU Pattani campus



On October 10, 2016, at Vijarnsupakit Meeting Room, Office of Pattani Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun, Vice President for Pattani campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs Pattani campus, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bordin Waelateh, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Pattani campus along with university executives, department heads, program chairs, and faculty members, were present for the quality assessment of degree programs based on the AUN-QA international standards, the 352nd by the AUN-QA Assessor Team led by Prof. Dr. Yahaya Md. Sam, Chief and Lead Assessor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The university presented four programs for quality assessment, including:

• Master of Science Programme in Research Methodology and Data Analytics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Pattani Campus.
• Bachelor of Business Administration programme, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pattani Campus.
• Bachelor of Business Administration, International Program, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Phuket Campus.
• Bachelor of Business Administration, Tourism Management Program, International Program, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Phuket Campus.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs Pattani campus, stated that Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, submitted two programs for quality assessment by AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance) to achieve international excellence. These programs are the Master of Science Programme in Research Methodology and Data Analytics, Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Bachelor of Business Administration, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which underwent assessment from October 10-12, 2023.

The assessment and site visit took place from October 10 to 12, 2016, with the assessment team visiting Pattani Campus on the afternoon of October 10, 2016. The campus prepared various facilities, including Lamae Samilae, student dormitories, the John F. Kennedy Library information resource center, and visited locations related to the two programs.

The purpose of the program quality assessment is to develop degree programs to meet international standards, align with the university''s strategies, raise the standards for student exchange within ASEAN member countries, improve the quality of teaching and learning for students, faculty and staff at the higher education institution, foster collaboration with quality assurance agencies in other regional areas, ensure alignment of quality standards at the regional level, and enhance expertise in quality assurance for ASEAN countries."
