PSU delegation visits universities in Hong Kong to discuss academic and research cooperation




On 21-26 March 2024, a PSU delegation led by Prof. Dr. Prasit Palittapongarnpim, M.D., Board of University Council; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, PSU president; visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the University of Hong Kong (HKU). The delegation, consisting of PSU administrators, faculty members, and researchers, explored possibilities of further academic collaboration and joint research projects under the PSU-TUYF Charitable Trust Fund.




On 21 March 2014, the university's administration and the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, visited CUHK to hold meetings and discussions on academic collaboration with Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor & President, also visiting the School of Public Health at CUHK to discuss and exchange knowledge regarding collaborative efforts in Public Health.



Furthermore, on the same day, the university administration also visited the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to discuss potential academic collaborations, including staff and student exchange and joint research endeavors. They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Derek Collins, Associate Vice President for Cultural and External Affairs, along with administrators from the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, to discuss potential collaborations in advancing public health initiatives.


Moreover, university administrators, faculty members, and researchers from PSU, under the PSU-TUYF Charitable Trust Fund, had the opportunity to engage in research exchange with CUHK researchers in various fields, including Oceanography, Mathematics, and Epidemiology, during CUHK-PSU TUYF Symposium 2024. Additionally, mathematics faculty members and researchers visited the CUHK Department of Mathematics to present their research and discuss academic collaborations at the faculty level, aiming to enhance interdisciplinary cooperation between universities.
