PSU joins private sector to develop and advance research for commercialization
On 19 March 2024, PSU through the
Innovation To Industries (ITI) project, has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) to develop, enhance, and promote research to
commercialize with three private companies namely Charmwealth Co., Ltd.,
BMS Holding Co., Ltd., and M Creative Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony
took place at the Learning Resource Center, PSU Hat Yai campus with
Asst. Prof. Dr. Jumphon Chuenjitsiri, Vice President for Legal and
Academic Services, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chitchamai Ovatlarnporn, ITI Project
Manager, and executive administrators from all three companies in
attendance.
The purpose of the signing is to collaborate in establishing guidelines
for utilizing existing research findings and innovations, as well as
newly created ones, within each respective organization for genuine and
ethical business benefits. This collaboration aims to maximize the
benefits for the public, including supporting other activities that
promote sustained economic growth in Thailand.
Dr. Jumphon emphasized that PSU recognizes the importance of driving Thailand through research. One of the university's key missions is building academic and innovation leadership with research as a basis for the development of the southern region and the country, linking it to society and international networks. In carrying out these tasks, collaboration is crucial, presenting an excellent opportunity for private sectors, especially those driven by the new generation. This not only creates a competitive edge in the market but also delivers qualified products to society.
