PSU Surat Thani Campus drives PSU-BCG Thung Sai Chai model for sustainable social development
On 15 June 15 2023, PSU’s Surat Thani Campus organized a meeting to discuss the guidelines for the implementation of the Agricultural, Fisheries and Food Innovation Center for Social Development, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, PSU President; Assoc. Prof. Suchada Tipmontree, Vice President of Surat Thani Campus; Mr. Wichawut Jinto, Governor of Surat Thani Province; Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; and Mr. Pongsak Chakaew, President of Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization. In addition, PSU administrators and personnel participated in discussions at the event, organized in the Thung Sai Chai area, Chaiya district, Surat Thani province.
The main goal of the meeting was to drive and develop the PSU-BCG Thung Sai Chai model towards sustainable social development. Development will take place in parallel, using both technological scientific research results and the traditional wisdom of southern farmers. This will be achieved by collaborating with the community and the private sector to develop the PSU-BCG Thung Sai Chai Model towards increased efficiency.
