PSU Welcomes James Madison University to Strengthen COIL Collaboration




On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wongkot Phuphumirat, Assistant President for International Affairs, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamie Robinson, Associate Director for Undergraduate Programs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hui Zhao, COIL Course Coordinator, School of Nursing, James Madison University (JMU), United States. The delegates visited the university and paid a courtesy call on the university executives, accompanied by the executives of the Faculty of Nursing, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Lapana Kijrungroj, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.



The visit reaffirmed the strong relationship between the two universities and provided an opportunity to exchange information and review the progress of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) activities between the PSU Faculty of Nursing and the JMU School of Nursing. The two sides also discussed approaches to further developing and expanding teaching and learning collaboration between the two institutions in the future.



In addition, both sides discussed plans for further collaborative activities, particularly preparations to welcome students and faculty members from the JMU School of Nursing, who are scheduled to visit PSU in the future. The visit will provide opportunities for students and faculty members from both institutions to engage in academic exchange, share experiences, and learn from one another.
