PSU Celebrates Outstanding National and International Achievements Highlighting Excellence among Staff, Students, and Academic Programs
Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of PSU, congratulated university staff and students for their outstanding achievements at both national and international levels during the 9th University Executive Committee Meeting of 2026, held on 2 September 2026 at PSU Hat Yai Campus.
Among the achievements recognized was the Nursing and Digital Health Technology course series, led by Associate Professor Dr. Kantaporn Yodchai, which received the Thai MOOC Awards 2026 for Excellence in Thai MOOC Course Development, recognizing outstanding online course development.
PSU student Thanawit Thawornkan from the Faculty of Management Sciences achieved second place worldwide in the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2026, competing in the Microsoft Excel category.
Meanwhile, a team of MICE Management students from the Faculty of Management Sciences was named Champion at the PATA Youth Symposium 2026 in Sarawak, Malaysia, outperforming teams from universities across the Asia-Pacific region.
At the national level, Wilawan Chomthong, a senior professional-level nurse, received a National Outstanding Support Staff Award for Excellence in Administration, while a team from PSU Hat Yai Campus’s Scientific Equipment and Testing Center won the Golden Award in the Genba Kaizen category at the Thailand Kaizen Award 2026, highlighting creativity and innovation in improving work processes.
PSU also marked another milestone in international academic standards, with two bachelor’s degree programs from the Faculty of Engineering — Chemical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering — receiving accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
These six achievements highlight PSU’s strengths across education, innovation, technology, staff development, and student excellence, while reinforcing the University’s continued progress toward international standards and greater recognition on the national and global stage.
