PSU Hosts 3rd Sustainable Agriculture Seminar, Shaping Thai Agriculture Amid Global Challenges
The Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University, hosted the 3rd Sustainable Agricultural Innovation Conference on 13–14 August 2026 at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, PSU Hat Yai Campus. The event was officially opened by Dr. Teerarat Samrejvanich, Assistant Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, who also delivered a keynote address on “The Direction of Thai Higher Education for National Development.”
In her address, Dr. Teerarat highlighted the important role of higher education, science, research, and innovation in improving quality of life and strengthening Thailand’s development. She also emphasized the need to develop advanced skills, prepare people for changes in the economy and industry, and promote continued investment in research and development to support sustainable growth. The conference brought together academics, researchers, government and private-sector representatives, farmers, students, and other participants to exchange knowledge and explore innovations for sustainable agriculture in Thailand. The program featured expert lectures on agricultural innovation and natural resources, academic presentations, poster sessions, exhibitions, competitions, and demonstrations.
More than an academic forum, the conference provided a collaborative platform connecting different disciplines and sectors to share ideas, create solutions, and advance sustainable agriculture in response to today’s changing challenges.
