GACC strengthens International Affairs Network trough PSU IAO Meetup across PSU's five campuses
From 2-4 July 2026, the PSU Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center (GACC), organized the International Affairs Network Building Activity (Phase 2) in Krabi. The activity aimed to strengthen collaboration among international affairs staff across PSU's five campuses, foster mutual learning, and enhance professional relationships, thereby promoting a more integrated and effective approach to the University's internationalization efforts.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wongkot Phuphumirat, Assistant President for International Affairs, who emphasized the importance of building a strong network among international affairs personnel. He noted that close collaboration and effective communication among staff are essential to enhancing operational efficiency and advancing the University's internationalization mission in a unified direction.
Throughout the three-day programme, participants took part in a series of team-building activities under the theme "Beyond Work, Beyond Connections." The programme was facilitated by Mr. Harirak Kaewkabthong, Specialist in Psychology and Human Potential Development, and Ms. Chamaiporn Seesakul, Specialist in Team Building and Recreational Therapy. Through interactive exercises incorporating psychological principles, teamwork, and analytical thinking, participants strengthened mutual trust, deepened their understanding of one another, and enhanced their ability to work collaboratively as a university-wide international affairs network.
As part of the program, GACC also organized a Upcycling Workshop to promote experiential learning beyond the meeting room. Taking advantage of Krabi's rich marine resources and coastal ecosystem, participants transformed marine debris into value-added products while raising awareness of marine conservation in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Life Below Water. The workshop also provided an opportunity for international affairs staff from all five campuses to interact, become better acquainted, and strengthen their professional relationships in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
More than a professional development programme, the activity served as a valuable platform for international affairs staff from across the University to build lasting connections, foster teamwork, and reinforce a shared commitment to advancing PSU's internationalization agenda. The strengthened network established through this initiative will contribute to more effective collaboration and support the University's continued growth as a globally engaged institution.
