PSU and TOSH organize safety officer training for supervisors to strengthen workplace safety culture
Dr. Nuntachai Panyasurrit, Director of the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization) (TOSH), presided over the opening ceremony of the “Safety Officer at Supervisory Level” training program at Room P.1107, Building 1, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Songkhla Province, on June 18, 2026.
Joining the ceremony were Assistant Professor Dr. Chitchamai Ovatlarnporn, Director of the Safety, Occupational Health and Environment Management Center, Prince of Songkla University, together with executives from the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and participants attending the program.
The training was organized to enhance knowledge, understanding, and essential skills for supervisors in workplaces, enabling them to effectively perform their duties related to occupational safety, health, and working environment management in compliance with legal requirements.
The program also aims to strengthen the role of supervisors in monitoring, preventing, and reducing workplace risks, while encouraging employee participation in improving safety standards and fostering a sustainable safety culture within organizations.
Through this initiative, participants are expected to develop competencies in identifying hazards, assessing risks, implementing preventive measures, and promoting awareness among employees. The training emphasizes that supervisors play a crucial role as frontline leaders in ensuring safe working conditions and cultivating a proactive approach to occupational safety and health.
