PSU Vice President receives “Raksa Din Daen Ying Cheep” insignia for outstanding service to the nation
Prince of Songkla University extends its congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Wasin Suwannarat, Vice President for Hat Yai Campus, on receiving the “Raksa Din Daen Ying Cheep” insignia from Songkhla Province in recognition of his contributions to the Volunteer Defense Corps and the nation.
The presentation ceremony was held on June 3, 2026, at Songkhla Provincial Hall and was presided over by the Governor of Songkhla, who serves as the Commander of the Songkhla Volunteer Defense Corps. The insignia was awarded in front of the royal portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, with government officials and invited guests in attendance.
The “Raksa Din Daen Ying Cheep” insignia is issued by the Volunteer Defense Corps Headquarters and carries royal authorization to bear the royal cypher “ภ.ป.ร.” of King Rama IX. It is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Volunteer Defense Corps and to the nation as a whole, symbolizing dedication to protecting the country “beyond one’s own life.”
Dr. Wasin was selected for this honor in recognition of his continued support for the operations of the Songkhla Volunteer Defense Corps and his contributions to public service and national development.
The award serves as a symbol of honor, commitment, and service, recognizing individuals whose efforts have benefited both society and the nation.
