PSU presents upcycled graduation banner bags to Chevron, supporting carbon neutrality efforts
Prince of Songkla University, led by the President, together with university executives and staff, presented bags made from upcycled graduation congratulatory banners to representatives from Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd. on May 21, 2026, at PSU Hat Yai Campus.
The bags were produced from congratulatory banners displayed on light poles across all five PSU campuses during the 2024 academic year graduation ceremony. After the ceremony, the university repurposed the banners into bags to reduce waste from single-use materials and give them new value.
This initiative is part of PSU’s sustainability efforts toward carbon neutrality and supports the university’s long-term goal of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions to zero.
