Indonesian Consul in Songkhla welcomed at PSU to discuss expanding educational cooperation and scholarships for international students
Mr. Mochammad Rizki Safary, Consul for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs from the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla, together with his delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs of Prince of Songkla University, on 31 March 2026 from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the reception room on the 2nd floor of the President Office Building, Prince of Songkla University.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on ways to strengthen academic cooperation between Prince of Songkla University and higher education institutions in the Republic of Indonesia. Discussions covered student and staff exchange, as well as the organization of joint academic and cultural activities in the future.
Discussions also focused on promoting Prince of Songkla University’s
graduate scholarships for international students, particularly
Indonesian students, in order to create more opportunities for
Indonesian youth to pursue further studies at PSU and build stronger
international academic networks.
Dr. Thakerng explained that PSU places great importance on building
collaborative networks with countries in the ASEAN region, particularly
Indonesia, which has strong potential and close ties in terms of
geography, society, and culture. The discussion marks another important
step toward developing concrete and sustainable cooperation between the
two countries.
