PSU Pattani receives national G-Green recognition, advancing green office sustainability

The Department of Climate Change and Environment, under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, recently held the national G-Green recognition ceremony. The event was presided over by Dr. Raweewan Bhuridej, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, who presented a total of 357 national G-Green awards. These included 3 G Platinum awards, 34 G Plus awards, and 176 Excellent-level G Gold awards, for a total of 213 awards presented at Centara Life Government Complex Hotel and Convention Centre, Bangkok, on March 23, 2026.

On this occasion, three units from Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, were recognized for their Green Office achievements for 2025. The Pattani Campus Office and the Faculty of Science and Technology received Excellent-level certification, or G Gold, while the Faculty of Communication Sciences was awarded Platinum-level certification.

Representing the university at the ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Ms. Pimchanok Polwan, Head of Office, Faculty of Communication Sciences; and Associate Professor Dr. Aniruth Phon-on, Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Academic Services, Faculty of Science and Technology.

Assistant Professor Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun, Vice President of PSU Pattani Campus, said the university has placed strong importance on advancing its Green Office policy as a key mechanism for sustainable university development. The policy emphasizes efficient use of resources, reducing environmental impact, and encouraging participation from personnel at all levels.

He added that the achievements of various faculties and departments, many of which have earned Gold and Platinum certifications, reflect a strong shared commitment to turning environmental principles into practical action. Moving forward, the university plans to strengthen support systems through mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and incentive-building in order to encourage broader participation across all faculties and units.

This recognition reflects the university’s ongoing intention to serve as a model organization in efficient resource and energy use, effective environmental and waste management, and support for Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon economy while helping reduce the impacts of climate change.

PSU Pattani Campus emphasized that Green Office is not only about receiving an award, but about building an environmentally responsible work culture that depends on cooperation and participation from all sectors for long-term sustainability.
