Thai Music Club, PSU Hat Yai Campus, participates in the 48th Thai Classical Music Festival for Higher Education

The Thai Music Club, of Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, participated in a solo institutional ensemble performance at the 48th Thai Classical Music Festival for Higher Education, held on February 25, 2026, at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University in Bangkok. The event brought together 78 higher education institutions, with over 2,500 participants including faculty members, Thai music instructors, and students.

This year’s festival was organized under the theme “Forever in Our Hearts,” inspired by the royal composition “Forever in Our Hearts” by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. The composition, graciously bestowed upon Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, symbolizes her enduring presence in the hearts of the Thai people, while also honoring the profound royal benevolence of both monarchs.

The event also aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in Thai classical music, while preserving and promoting Thailand’s cultural heritage and wisdom as a vital part of national identity. In addition, the festival fostered knowledge exchange, experiential learning, and ongoing collaboration among higher education institutions in the field of Thai music.
