Romanian Ambassador joins trilingual poetry book launch at PSU, discusses collaboration




Prince of Songkla University (PSU) welcomed H.E. Mrs. Daniela-Brîndușa Băzăvan, Ambassador of Romania to Thailand, and her delegation on the occasion of her official visit to Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, on 10 February 2026. She was welcomed by PSU President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, while PSU Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit addressed the overview of cooperation between the University and the Embassy of Romania in Thailand.



During the visit, the delegation also toured the Dr. Thanat Khoman ASEAN Studies Center at PSU, where they were received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Supatra Davison, Assistant President for ASEAN Affairs and Creative Economy. The guests then attended the launch ceremony of a trilingual Romanian poetry collection in Romanian, French, and Thai language, titled “Echo in the Song of the World / Ecou în cântecul lumii / เสียงสะท้อนในบทเพลงแห่งโลก” at the Khunying Long Atthakravisunthon Learning Resource Center. The event featured poetry readings in multiple languages, reflecting the literary and cultural values of Romania shared with Thai society. 




After the event, the delegation held a meeting with university executives to exchange views on the development of future academic and cultural cooperation, aiming to expand international collaboration networks in a tangible manner.



This visit marks another significant step in strengthening educational and cultural cooperation, as well as fostering closer relations between Thailand and Romania through international engagement with Prince of Songkla University.
