Metric: Measures against discrimination

Have a diversity and equality committee, office or officer (or the equivalent) tasked by the administration or governing body to advise on and implement policies, programmes and trainings related to diversity, equity, inclusion and human rights on campus.

        To facilitate effective movement on gender equality promotion, based on records showing understanding, transparency, regularity, and effectiveness in accordance with Section 43 and Section 47 of the Gender Equality Act B.E. 2558 (2015), Prince of Songkla University has established a subcommittee responsible for driving gender equality promotion.

The responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Establish policies, measures, and operational plans to promote gender equality at Prince of Songkla University.
  2. Develop guidelines for providing assistance, compensation, and remedies or relief to individuals who have suffered from unfair gender discrimination.
  3. Promote education, research, and the dissemination of knowledge on the prevention of unfair gender discrimination.
  4. Accept complaints regarding cases of unfair gender discrimination.
  5. Adjudicate issues related to complaints of unfair gender discrimination.
  6. Establish interim measures to protect or provide relief prior to a final decision.
  7. Coordinate with individuals, agencies, and organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, to prevent unfair gender discrimination at national and international levels.
