  •  "PSU Sapling Scholarships"

The PSU Sapling Scholarships was established by Prince of Songkla University to provide educational opportunities for students from low-income families, enabling them to pursue their studies through to graduation and build sustainable careers to support themselves and their families.

The selection process focuses on identifying talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across the 14 southern provinces of Thailand who have the potential to continue their education. Selected students receive scholarships that support their studies from secondary school through university at Prince of Songkla University (PSU).

Upon entering PSU, scholarship recipients are exempted from tuition fees and university dormitory fees, and they also receive a living allowance. In addition, the university organizes the “Tiwnong Klongjai Saiyai Ton Kla Songkhla Nakharin” program to provide academic tutoring and guidance for underprivileged students, helping them prepare for higher education opportunities.

In the 2024 academic year, there were 136 university-level students under this program, with the university providing approximately 5,398,000 baht for tuition fees and 5,440,000 baht for living allowances. Moreover, in the same year, 32 students successfully completed their studies and graduated from the program.
