Have dedicated courses (full degrees, or electives) that address sustainability and the SDGs.

Prince of Songkla University offers courses related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to equip students with knowledge and skills to promote sustainability in society. Examples include:       

  •  Faculty of Liberal Arts, has launched a Bachelor of Arts program in Community Studies for Sustainable Development. This program aims to produce graduates who are development practitioners following the principles of Progressivism, focusing on lifelong learning, adaptation, and living happily in society. Graduates will acquire 21st-century skills and be capable of working integratively with government agencies, the private sector, and civil society. They will also utilize digital communication technologies to create value for communities and society. Additionally, they will be equipped to be good leaders and followers in response to social dynamics and become socially responsible entrepreneurs who innovate sustainably.
  • The Faculty of Science and Industrial Technology offers a Bachelor of Science program in Environmental Sustainability. This interdisciplinary program integrates the sciences, environmental technology, and environmental management, aiming to develop graduates with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary for addressing pollution and environmental issues. The curriculum emphasizes 21st-century global citizenship skills, effective communication, and professional ethics. Graduates are prepared to apply their knowledge to solve, prevent, and manage environmental problems in line with sustainable development principles, aligning with the rapid social, scientific, and technological changes in the modern world.

        The program enables students to pursue professional roles in environmental quality management, pollution prevention, and control in both public and private sectors, including community and urban settings. Students will be equipped with competencies in environmental quality assessment, setting environmental standards, environmental impact analysis, and engaging in research and development of environmental technologies geared toward sustainability. The curriculum also provides a solid foundation for further studies or entry into the global job market, allowing graduates to create their own opportunities.

       Additionally, the program prioritizes learner-centered education, practical work experience, and the application of these skills in professional settings, fostering adaptability to global changes, responsibility, and professional ethics.
