Prince of Songkla University has established a neutral platform and created a ’safe’ space for various political stakeholders to come together and discuss challenges openly.
On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a public academic seminar on “Military Conscription and Military Reform in Thailand” was held at the Siharat Meeting Room, M Floor, Kasem Uthayan Building, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University.

“People’s Forum for Designing Peace”: A Public Consultation on Peacebuilding in the Southern Border Provinces / Pattani On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Salak Conference Room, 4th Floor, Faculty of Management Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University, a public forum was held to gather citizens’ opinions and recommendations on peacebuilding in the Southern Border Provinces (Patani).
The event was organized by the Ad-hoc Committee for Studying and Proposing Peacebuilding Processes to Resolve Conflicts in the Southern Border Provinces, House of Representatives, in collaboration with the Center for Conflict Studies and Cultural Diversity (CSCD), Prince of Songkla University, and the Partnership for Faith-Based Community Development Association.

Public Forum on “The Southern Border/Patani Peace Law Package: Reflections, Challenges, and Directions”
On Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Nam Prow Room, 1st Floor, CS Pattani Hotel, the Center for Conflict Studies and Cultural Diversity (CSCD), Institute for Peace Studies, Prince of Songkla University, in collaboration with the Partnership for Faith-Based Community Development Association (Kampong Taqwa), the Southern Border Civil Society Council, and the Minority Rights Group, organized a public forum titled “The Southern Border/Patani Peace Law Package: Reflections, Challenges, and Directions.” The event was supported by the European Union (EU).
The forum featured several key activities, including opening remarks by Mr. Waeromlee Waebula, President of the Partnership for Faith-Based Community Development Association (Kampong Taqwa), and a presentation on peacebuilding in the Southern Border/Patani context from the legal perspective, delivered by Mr. Adilan Ali-ishoh and Dr. Rungrawee Chalermsri Pinyo Ratch, members of the Ad-hoc Committee for Studying and Proposing Peacebuilding Processes to Resolve Conflicts in the Southern Border Provinces, House of Representatives.
