14.4.2 Action plan to reducing plastic waste

Have an action plan in place to reduce plastic waste on campus
Prince of Songkla University has been driving its development towards sustainability in alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To raise awareness and encourage participation among the university community in reducing plastic and foam packaging, which contribute to global warming through greenhouse gas emissions, the university, under the authority granted by Sections 34 and 39 of the Prince of Songkla University Act B.E. 2559 (2016), has issued an official policy titled “Policy on Promoting the Reduction of Plastic Use and the Prohibition of Foam Use B.E. 2566 (2023).” This policy is to be adhered to by all members of the university community.
