PSU Pattani Adds Color to Diversity with International Cultural Parade, Connecting Cultures and Building Global Friendship for a Global Society
Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, brought the spirit of internationalization to life through the Cultural Parade, one of the highlights of the 2nd Internationalization on Campus event under the theme “Together for Tomorrow: SDGs Fusion Fest.” Thai and international students from various countries joined the parade in traditional national costumes, showcasing their unique identities and cultural beauty amid smiles, music, and a warm atmosphere of friendship. The event was held at the Phraya Phibun Phitthayaphak Pavilion, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, on August 5, 2026.
The International Cultural Parade attracted great interest from university administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and event participants. Attendees admired the beauty of the traditional costumes, the distinctive cultural identities on display, and the participation of students from diverse backgrounds. The event reflected the university’s open and inclusive environment, emphasizing learning through diversity, mutual respect, and harmonious coexistence in a multicultural society.
The activity provided Thai and international students with opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences about different cultures, languages, and ways of life. Through meaningful interactions, students developed mutual understanding while strengthening their communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills—essential competencies for becoming global citizens in the 21st century.
Beyond creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere, the International Cultural Parade also demonstrated the role of Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, in advancing internationalization alongside promoting intercultural understanding and building international networks and partnerships to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Cultural Parade was therefore more than a celebration of color and diversity. It served as a symbol of living together in diversity, being open to learning from one another, and building a shared future. Under the theme “Together for Tomorrow,” Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, remains committed to turning this vision into reality through education, cultural exchange, and international collaboration—fostering a learning society where everyone can grow and thrive together sustainably.
