PSU Pattani Campus Signs MoU with UNDP and Partners to Advance Sustainable Development in Southern Thailand
Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Federation of Southern Private School Associations, and the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) to strengthen collaboration in sustainable development and expand educational opportunities for youth in Thailand''''s southern border provinces.
The partnership aims to promote research, social innovation, youth and educator capacity building, peace communication, and inclusive access to quality education. It also seeks to empower local communities and improve quality of life through cross-sector collaboration.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Niamh Collier-Smith, UNDP Thailand Representative, highlighted education as a key driver of sustainable development and emphasized the importance of equipping young people with critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, and digital skills to address future challenges.
Assistant Professor Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun, Vice President for PSU Pattani Campus, reaffirmed the University''''s commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities that foster creativity, analytical thinking, and innovation, while emphasizing that lasting change begins with strong partnerships and continuous investment in youth.
The MoU marks a significant step toward building a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future for the southern border provinces through cooperation among international organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and civil society.
