PSU Pattani Strengthens International Friendship through “International Gathering Iftar Program 2026,” Bringing Together Multicultural Students during Ramadan
Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, in collaboration with the African Diaspora Association in Southern Thailand (ADAST) and the International Student Committee, organized the “International Gathering Iftar Program 2026” to foster strong relationships between international and Thai students while sharing the iftar meal during the holy month of Ramadan, 1447 H
The event was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bordin Waelateh, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, Pattani Campus, who delivered an opening remark emphasizing the importance of intercultural understanding, respect for diversity, and using the sacred month of Ramadan as an opportunity to nurture spiritual values.
Additionally, Asst.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Roflee Wahama, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, extended his greetings and remarks to participants, highlighting Ramadan as a time of compassion, sharing, and strengthening unity within society. The atmosphere of the event was warm and vibrant, enriched by cultural diversity, with students from various countries coming together. This reflects the university’s international character and its commitment to peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society.
The program was organized under the themes “Sharing the blessings of Ramadan in unity and solidarity” and “Bringing together International and Thai students in Pattani.” It served not only as a platform for cultural exchange but also as an opportunity to strengthen networks and relationships among Thai and international students. Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, remains committed to promoting academic learning alongside harmonious multicultural living, aiming to develop graduates who are high-quality, culturally aware, and well-prepared to become sustainable global citizens.
