On the warm afternoon of August 6, 2025, the My Space Cafeteria at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, quietly transformed into a hub of exchange and connection. The occasion was Bridging Connections at My Space, a friendly and informal gathering designed to welcome and engage international faculty members working across the university’s faculties. The event brought together not only international lecturers but also key figures from the university''s leadership and support divisions, all united with a common goal: to strengthen networks and foster a more inclusive and collaborative environment on campus.
The event opened with a gentle buzz of conversation as faculty and staff mingled over drinks during registration. As participants settled in, the atmosphere shifted to one of warmth and attentiveness. Assistant Professor Dr. Warapark Maitreephun, Assistant President for Research and Social Mission, set the tone with a brief yet thoughtful welcome, sharing the purpose of the gathering and expressing appreciation for the international faculty who contribute to PSU’s evolving identity as a globally engaged university.
Following this, Assistant Professor Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Pattani Campus, offered an opening remark that underscored the university’s commitment to supporting international staff not only in their professional journey but also in their integration into life in Pattani. She highlighted the value of listening to lived experiences and emphasized the importance of two-way communication between faculty and administration.
Assistant Professor Dr. Bordin Waelateh, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, also addressed the audience, speaking candidly about how international faculty play a vital role in PSU Pattani’s ambition to grow beyond borders.
