On 25 June 2025, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, held an orientation event to welcome international students participating in the Student Mobility Program 2025. The event took place at the Vijarn Supphakit Meeting Room, Office of the President.
Now in its third year, the Student Mobility Program at PSU Pattani continues to promote international academic exchange. This year, a total of 13 students from three institutions joined the program: 8 from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia; 4 from Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia; and 1 from Universitas Udayana, Indonesia.
The orientation aimed to provide essential information to help the new students adapt to university life in Thailand, understand academic expectations, and engage with the diverse cultural environment at PSU Pattani.
The event began with a video presentation introducing the university and its dynamic international atmosphere. This was followed by welcome remarks from key administrators. Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, provided an overview of university life, academic support services, and PSU’s international vision. Asst. Prof. Dr. Bordin Waelateh, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Affairs, emphasized the importance of student engagement and extracurricular activities in holistic learning. Asst. Prof. Dr. Warapark Maitreephun, Assistant President for Research and Social Mission, introduced the objectives of the program and shared guidance on adapting to academic and campus life.
Students were also introduced to instructors and support staff who will play key roles in assisting them throughout their exchange. Each student had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The event concluded with a Q&A session, distribution of welcome kits, and a group photo to commemorate the start of their journey at PSU Pattani.
This orientation reflects PSU Pattani’s ongoing commitment to promoting internationalization, academic excellence, and intercultural understanding through strong and sustained collaboration with global partner institutions.
