Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus Visits Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) to Strengthen Academic Collaboration
From 8 to 10 April 2025, representatives from Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Warapak Maitreephun, Assistant President for Research and Social Mission, Pattani Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hareesol Khun-Inkeeree, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research in Asia (JSHRA), and higher educational staff visited Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Cawangan Kelantan, Malaysia, to discuss further academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The visit centered on two main areas of cooperation. First, both sides discussed plans for the “Conversation in the Workplace” program, which aims to develop students’ English communication skills for professional settings in the workplace. The program will also foster cross-cultural understanding between students of the two universities. After the discussion, UiTM showed strong interest in collaborating and implementing this initiative.
Second, Asst. Prof. Dr. Warapak Maitreephun as an Editorial Board Advisor and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hareesol Khun-Inkeeree, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research in Asia (JSHRA), explored ways to enhance collaboration on the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research in Asia (JSHRA), hosted by PSU Pattani Campus. Both institutions shared a common goal of increasing the journal’s academic quality and international reach through joint editorial work and scholar exchange.
This visit represents another important step in building long-term collaboration between PSU Pattani Campus and UiTM Cawangan Kelantan, supporting academic advancement and regional cooperation in line with global trends.
