PSU Pattani Strengthens Collaboration with UNPAD and Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Indonesia
From January 31 to February 2, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Warapark Maitreephun, Assistant President for Research and Social Mission, together with Ajan Nantiya Khoynueng, Assistant Dean for Planning and Quality Assurance, Faculty of Nursing, Pattani Campus, visited Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Republic of Indonesia to strengthen collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, and the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran in various dimensions, including research, public health development, student exchange, and academic cooperation between the two institutions.

On this occasion, PSU Pattani brought two nursing students, Ms. Haneeza Khareng and Mr. Waeahmadnadri Masan, to undertake a professional training program at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, the second-largest hospital in Indonesia, for a two-week period. The students had the opportunity to meet with the hospital administration and familiarize themselves with various hospital departments. Hasan Sadikin Hospital expressed interest in establishing a trilateral collaboration between PSU, UNPAD, and the hospital to strengthen medical and nursing networks. This professional training program was supported by Prof. Dr. Kusman Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, UNPAD, and an alumni of PSU. Additionally, the hospital currently employs PSU Nursing alumni at the doctoral level, who provide guidance and support to the students during their training.

During the visit to Indonesia, Prince of Songkla University hosted a dinner reception for its alumni to foster strong connections. The event was attended by alumni who had completed doctoral degrees from the PSU’s Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Natural Resources. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and friendship as alumni shared their experiences at PSU and reminisced about their bond with the university and their professors. Furthermore, discussions were held on academic collaboration and potential future partnerships, particularly in research and student exchange programs, which will further strengthen both universities at the international level.
