    UK Ambassador to Thailand Visits PSU Pattani to Discuss Academic Collaboration and Peacebuilding

    On January 28, 2025, at Pattani Pirom Meeting Room, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun, Vice President for Pattani Campus, welcomed H.E. Mr. Mark Gooding, British Ambassador to Thailand, and his delegation.

    The visit included discussions on education and student development, with participation from university executives, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bordin Waelateh, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, and Asst. Prof. Kusuma Kooyai, Director of the Institute of Peace Studies.PSU.

    Additionally, research and peacebuilding initiatives in Thailand’s southern border provinces were presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisompob Jitpiromsri, Dr. Rungrawee Chalermsripinyorat, and Ajan Farida Panjor, are faculty members of the Institute of Peace Studies,PSU.

    This discussion highlighted the ongoing academic collaboration between the United Kingdom and PSU, reinforcing efforts to promote education and peacebuilding in the region.
