Four PSU Pattani Courses joined the 423rd International AUN-QA Quality Assessment







    On January 13, 2025 – At the Vijarn Suphakit Meeting Room, Office of Pattani Campus, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), presented four programs for quality assessment under the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance) framework. The programs include:

    1.    Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science
    2.    Bachelor of Education in Teaching Islamic Studies 
    3.    Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
    4.    Master of Arts in Psychology

    The assessment, aimed at achieving international excellence, takes place 13 – 15 January 2025. The event was attended by PSU President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, Vice President for Pattani campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Asst.Prof.Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak along with university executives, program chairs, faculty members and program instructors. The quality assessment is conducted by the AUN-QA Assessor Team.

    Asst.Prof.Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Pattani Campus, stated that the university presented these four programs for AUN-QA assessment to align with international standards and achieve excellence. The programs under review are the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, Bachelor of Education in Teaching Islamic Studies, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and Master of Arts in Psychology.

    The assessment includes campus site visits scheduled for January 13, 2025. Preparations have been made to showcase key facilities, including Lamae Samilae, student dormitories, the John F. Kennedy Library, Building 19, and the program-specific facilities.
    The Vice President for Academic Affairs further explained that this initiative aims to: Enhance the programs to meet international standards. Align with the campus''''''''''''''''s strategic goals to establish a benchmark for student exchange within ASEAN member countries. Improve the quality of higher education institutions'''''''''''''''' learning, teaching, and staff performance. Foster collaboration with quality assurance agencies across other regions. Promote consistency in higher education quality standards and elevate ASEAN’s expertise in quality assurance.
