PSU HomeCare

Baan Waisai Songkhla Nakarin serves as a comprehensive support center that promotes students’ mental well-being, emotional resilience, and life skills—key foundations for academic and personal success. The center ensures equitable access to all students, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, vulnerable populations, students from low-income families, and those with disabilities.

As part of PSU’s women’s access scheme, the center provides free counseling, mentoring, and psychological support services to help female students manage stress, overcome personal and academic challenges, and build confidence in pursuing their education. In addition, trained mentors and mental health professionals offer individual guidance and group workshops focusing on empowerment, self-care, and leadership development.

By integrating mentoring and inclusive mental health support, Baan Waisai Songkhla Nakarin enhances women’s access to quality education and personal growth opportunities, ensuring that all students can learn, thrive, and succeed in a safe and supportive environment.

Targeted support for people with disabilities

PSU, through the Office of Human Resource Development and Social Engagement, provided targeted support for people with disabilities by organizing the Vocational Training Program for Persons with Disabilities to prepare them for employment in various industries.

The orientation session, held on June 20–21, 2024, at the Khunying Long Athakavanich Learning Resources Building, Hat Yai Campus, introduced trainees to the program structure, learning guidelines, and the 450-hour training curriculum (June–September 2024). Participants engaged in team-building activities, communication and interpersonal skills workshops, and organizational collaboration exercises to enhance readiness for both classroom learning and future employment.

This program is part of a broader initiative under the Higher Education Network for Disability Empowerment, supported by the Fund for Empowerment and Development of Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities. It combines mentorship, professional skills training, and workplace integration support, ensuring that participants gain the competencies and confidence needed for sustainable employment.
