6.3.4 Water-conscious building standards

Metric: Water usage and care
Apply building standards to minimize water use.

Prince of Songkla University applies sustainable building standards to reduce water consumption across its campuses. As part of its infrastructure improvement plan, the University has renovated existing buildings and constructed new facilities equipped with sensor-based water fixtures, such as automatic faucets and flush systems, replacing conventional water systems to enhance water efficiency.

In addition, water conservation awareness signs are displayed in restrooms and public areas throughout university buildings to encourage responsible water use among students, staff, and visitors. These combined measures ensure that PSU’s campus operations align with sustainable water management practices and support long-term resource conservation.

Additionally, signs are posted in the restrooms of various buildings to promote water conservation.
