Empowering youth for sustainable land and water management in Northeastern Thailand

Prince of Songkla University (PSU) students from the Bachelor of Science Program in Agricultural Innovation and Management conducted an educational outreach activity in Ban Suksomboon, Khun Han District, Sisaket Province, to share knowledge on sustainable land and water management for agriculture with local youth and communities in Northeastern Thailand.

The outreach involved Grade 10 students from Khun Han Wittayasarn School, who learned about the water pressure-boosting irrigation system designed to enhance water distribution efficiency for agricultural use. The system aims to transform arid areas into productive green spaces by providing cost-effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable water delivery for farming.

This initiative highlights PSU’s commitment to community engagement and agricultural sustainability, empowering local youth to apply innovative water management techniques that promote long-term land productivity and environmental stewardship.
