Financial Assistance Supporting Sustainable Startups
Prince of Songkla University (PSU), through its Science Park and related innovation units, provides financial assistance and incubation programs that empower local entrepreneurs to start and grow financially and socially sustainable businesses.
- New Regional Startups Program – Supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, providing 450,000 THB to 9 regional teams to develop innovation-based businesses and prototype products (MVPs) in fields such as biotechnology, digital platforms, and community-based enterprises.
- Business Brotherhood Program – Linking large corporations with university innovators to co-develop high-value technologies and expand global markets. The program provided 1,000,000 THB (200,000 THB × 5 teams).
- Startup Thailand League – Offering 175,000 THB to 7 new startups to strengthen innovation-driven entrepreneurship among students and local innovators.
- TED Fund Programs (Ideation & Proof of Concept) – Providing over 10 million THB in grants to help researchers and small enterprises transform technology-based innovations into commercial products, creating high-value jobs and sustainable enterprises.
- Open Innovation in Southern Thailand – A collaboration between PSU and the National Innovation Agency (NIA), funding 13.2 million THB to foster open innovation across supply chains and accelerate Smart SMEs and startups in regional industries.
Overall, these initiatives demonstrate PSU’s strong commitment to providing financial assistance and capacity building to local innovators and SMEs, promoting the creation of sustainable, knowledge-based businesses that contribute to local economic growth and social well-being.

Pitching Day: New Regional Startups 2024
On May 17, 2024, the Science Park of Prince of Songkla University (PSU), through P-SEDA (PSU Student Entrepreneur Development Academy), organized the Pitching Day for the “New Regional Startups Project – Batch 5”.
This activity was held under the Regional New Entrepreneurs Development Program, Fiscal Year 2024, aiming to select entrepreneurs to receive funding for product prototype development (Minimum Viable Product – MVP) and to join the Acceleration Program.
