Project Summary
INNO4Tourism aims to contribute to the alignment of HEIs in Thailand
and Lao PDR with the current hospitality and tourism labour markets, in
order to enhance the employability of students via the establishment of
University-Business Cooperation (UBC) mechanisms and the development of
innovative curricula on sustainable tourism. This will be achieved
through the implementation of the following activities:
- primary and secondary research on skills demand and gaps in current
hospitality and identification of required skills and knowledge
- capacity building of HEIs’ staff: a) a training programme on setting
up UBC mechanisms and holistic career services, b) a Curriculum
Development course (Training of Trainers programme), c) training of
teaching staff on the new Curricula on Sustainable Tourism
- piloting of UBC mechanisms
- development and piloting of the new curricula on sustainable tourism
- promotion of the importance of UBC and innovative curricula on sustainable tourism.
