Prince of Songkla University Hosts RENPER Meeting and Signs MoUs with San Beda and REVA Universities to Strengthen Poverty Eradication Efforts

Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, hosted the Regional Network on Poverty Eradication (RENPER) meeting to foster collaboration between educational institutions and research organizations at the international level. On August 30, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, acted as the host for the Regional Network on Poverty Eradication (RENPER) movement. The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Monthira Leelakriengsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Pattani Campus and Chairperson of the Regional Network on Poverty Eradication (RENPER).

Members of the Regional Network on Poverty Eradication (RENPER) include Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Women’s University, REVA University, University of Bengkulu, Universiti Putra Malaysia, San Beda University, Prince of Songkla University Pattani Campus, Yala Rajabhat University, and Princess of Naradhiwas University.

On this occasion, there was a signing ceremony of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between San Beda University, Philippines, and REVA University, India, with Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Thailand. Additionally, there was a separate MoU signing ceremony between San Beda University and Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, led by Prof. Tita Evasco-Branzuela, Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs (LIA) of San Beda University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Monthira Leelakriengsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus.

Similarly, an MoU was signed between REVA University and Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, with Prof. Dr. Pasupuleti Visweswara Rao, Director of International Relations and Research Collaborations at REVA University, representing REVA. The MoUs aim to connect teaching, research, cultural activities, as well as student exchanges, joint research, seminars, workshops, and other collaborative efforts. The universities agreed to benefit from these partnerships mutually.

Furthermore, all three universities have been working together to enhance prosperity and sustainability in the southern border provinces of Thailand by implementing poverty eradication programs, led by Dr. Ainee Aesadong from Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus; Asst. Prof. Dr. Issariyaporn Damrongrak from Yala Rajabhat University; and Lecturer Mr. Weerasak Sojipun from Princess of Naradhiwas University.
