PSU students join AUN-ASEAN Student Mobility 2025 in Malaysia
Students from Prince of Songkla University (PSU) were selected as representatives to participate in the AUN - ASEAN Student Mobility 2025 program, titled “Empowering ASEAN Youth: Innovation and Collaboration for a Sustainable Future,” in Malaysia from February 19 to 25, 2025. The participating students included Mr. Samil Abdulwahab from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mr. Siriphong Chotirat, and Ms. Laxmi from the College of Computing.
The program, organized under the activities of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), was divided into two formats: an online session from February 11 to 17, 2025, and an in-person (face-to-face) session from February 19 to 25, 2025, in Malaysia. Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) served as the main host, alongside other leading universities in Malaysia.
This initiative aimed to provide students with opportunities to develop skills in innovation, leadership, and regional collaboration, as well as to build a network of students focused on sustainability and supporting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activities were divided into two main categories: the Young Speaker Contest, which involved delivering speeches on topics related to the SDGs, and the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge, which included brainstorming sessions, workshops, and group presentations alongside students from other ASEAN universities.
Additionally, the students had the unique opportunity to meet the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, as well as leaders from the industrial and governmental sectors of ASEAN countries during the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum.
