PSU organized WORLD HAPEX 2024, elevating Halal standards in tourism, hospitality, and wellness
On August 29, 2024, the Halal Institute, PSU, hosted the Halal International Trade Exhibition and Conference 2024 (WORLD HAPEX 2024) under the theme "Halal for Tourism, Hospitality, and Wellness." The event was presided over by Mr. Permsuk Sutchaphiwat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, alongside distinguished guests, including Mr. Mohamed Abdulla Mahmood Alkooheji, Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Thailand, His Eminence Mr. Aroon Boonchom, Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of PSU, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Asman Taeali, Director of the Halal Institute at PSU. The event brought together leaders from both the public and private sectors, university administrators, staff, media, and participants to discuss and promote advancements in the Halal industry.
The World HAPEX 2024, held from August 29 to September 1, 2024, at the International Convention Center (ICC) of PSU, aimed to expand opportunities in the halal tourism and wellness industry. The event provided a valuable platform for researchers and academics to exchange knowledge, present research papers, and share academic insights into international halal tourism and wellness services. It also fostered collaboration in research and innovation, supporting the development of these services. Furthermore, the event raised awareness among halal tourism and wellness operators in Thailand's southern border provinces, creating competitive opportunities for both domestic and international businesses.
